Reserve a Teacher Kit containing lesson plans and hands-on materials to help prepare for your next Zoo visit.
African Elephant Crossing at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo promotes elephant conservation education for all ages. This habitat's purpose is to ignite a passion for elephants and other African wildlife to encourage understanding of African habitats, human-wildlife challenges, and cultural surroundings.
In order to gain a better understanding of African Elephant Crossing prior to your Zoo visit, teacher kits containing lesson plans and hands-on materials for use in your classroom are available for check-out 2 weeks prior to your field trip date.
Kits are available from September through May and must be reserved ahead of time by selecting that option when you register for the program. Once your registration has been accepted, a staff member will reach out to confirm the details of your visit and coordinate times to pick up and drop off your kit.
