A World-Class Community Sailing Center for All
The Patrick S. Parker Community Sailing Center, newly opened at E. 55th Street Marina, offers a transformative year-round destination and unprecedented public access to Cleveland's eastside lakefront. Serving as a year-round community anchor and destination for sporting and community events, education, retail, marina operations, recreation and dining, the sailing center campus is comprised of two new facilities:
Further increasing connections and access to the lakefront, the Mandel Community Trail, opening in Fall 2026, will link downtown Cleveland's Northcoast Harbor to the Community Sailing Center and to the cultural center of University Circle.
The Community Sailing Center hosts year-round Sailing STEM programming for schools and community partner organizations under the operation of The Cleveland Foundry. Programming will include Youth Learn-to-Sail, Youth Learn-to-Race, Interscholastic Racing, Adult Basic Series, Community Dinghy Race Nights, Family Sailing Basics, Ohio Boating Safety and Education Classes and Water Safety Certifications classes — all designed to grow confidence in and access to the sport of sailing for all of greater Cleveland. The Community Sailing Center is also home to many aligned educational and conservation partners, offering community speaker series and events in the World Group Community Impact Hub.
The Community Sailing Center goes beyond ADA compliance by incorporating universal design and fully accessible amenities, including adaptive equipment and wheelchair access throughout.
By making a tax-deductible gift to the Patrick S. Parker Community Sailing Center today, you help transform our lakefront into a vibrant hub of activity that is accessible to all.
