Tales and Trails, a podcast hosted by Cleveland Metroparks CEO Brian Zimmerman, goes behind-the-scenes on wide-ranging topics from wildlife and animal care, scenic destinations and hidden gems, upcoming projects and more. Premiering the first Monday of each month, episodes will feature Brian accompanied by special guests across the Park District's award-winning team as well as key community partners and leaders in Northeast Ohio.

“How it Started, How it’s Going: Building an Emerald Necklace” with special guest Board of Park Commissioner Bruce Rinker
Bruce G. Rinker is senior counsel with Mansour Gavin LPA and has extensive experience in real estate law as a litigator and practitioner for cases involving eminent domain, planning and zoning, land use, permitting, and administrative review by local governmental agencies, boards, commissions and councils. Bruce was a labor relations representative, state appellate court law clerk, Assistant County Prosecutor in the felony criminal division and has been a trial attorney for over 40 years. He served as a councilman for several years prior to serving as Mayfield Village’s Mayor from 1993-2015 and he has continuously served as a Metroparks Commissioner since 2010.

Monday, December 10: “The Future Zoo” with special guest Dr. Chris Kuhar, Executive Director of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, uncovers how zoos have changed physically, philosophically and purposefully to secure a future for wildlife around the world.
