Current list of Cleveland Metroparks' location-specific closures and restrictions:

Bedford Reservation

  • Beginning January 12, 2026 - The bridle trail between Tinker's Creek Scenic Overlook and Bridal Veil Falls will be closed for approximately 3 months for bridge replacement.

Big Creek Reservation

  • Beginning October 14, 2025 - The Lake to Lake Trail bridge/boardwalk near Hepburn Rd. Will be closed on and off due to boardwalk repairs. Expected reopening TBD.

Brecksville Reservation

  • Beginning December 3, 2025 - York Archery Range is closed due to snow accumulation. Will reopen in the spring or when weather allows.
  • Beginning December 3, 2025 -  Meadows Drive from the Gazebo to Valley Parkway is closed to all vehicles/bicycles for the remaining of the winter. Expected to reopen around April 1, 2026.

Euclid Creek Reservation

  • Update as of December 29, 2025: The Cleveland Water Department main break occurred directly under Euclid Creek Parkway. Cleveland Water has to address the break with specialized welding before repairs can be made to the roadway. We are hoping for significant progress this week but there is no definite timeline until the break is repaired and they can fully assess the roadway.

Garfield Park Reservation

  • Beginning January 22, 2026 - Garfield Parkway and All-Purpose trail are closed for replacement of the culvert under the parkway for Mill Creek. The closure will be from the Program Center bridge to the Red Oak Picnic Area. Detour directions: The All-Purpose Trail detour signage is posted. There is no detour for traffic to Red Oak. The area is expected to reopen around February 20, 2026.

Lakefront Reservation

  • December 29, 2025 - Gordon Boat Ramps closed for the next few days.

Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation

  • Lights are out at along the Towpath Trail from Holmden Avenue to Canal Basin Park.

Mill Stream Run Reservation

  • Due to the high wind advisory, tobogganing at The Chalet will be closed today, December 29.

South Chagrin Reservation

  • Beginning November 3, 2025 - Hawthorn Parkway between Harper and Cannon Road will be closed for bridge maintenance. Expected reopening is October 6, 2026.

Washington Reservation

  • Beginning October 15, 2024 – The Arborview Picnic Shelter will have limited parking and access to picnic shelter, playground facility and general ground for a Northeast Ohio Sewer District Construction project. Expected completion is August 31, 2028.
