    Mountain Biking

    Parks | Visit | Activities
    Share This

Cleveland Metroparks has four designated natural surface mountain bike trails and most of them are shared use trails. Mountain Biking, including Class 1 and 2 eBike mountain biking is permitted when the trails are open from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Before riding, please check the trail conditions.

Riding on wet trails can have a negative impact on the trails potentially causing ruts that would take hours upon hours to repair. To be good stewards of the land and to have trails that are enjoyable to ride all season, please help us by not riding when trail are closed.

In addition to the natural surface trails, mountain bikes are permitted on roadways and the paved all purpose trails. Bikes are not permitted on hiking or bridle trails unless it is part of one of the mountain biking trails listed below.

The Traffic Code is applicable whenever a bicycle is operated.

Outdoor Recreation offers a series of cycling programs ranging from introductory try-it sessions and skills classes to races.

    Custom programs available.

    Bedford Single Track

Bedford is a 11.5 mile trail network with everything from smooth flowing singletrack for beginners to some rocky terrain for intermediate and advanced riders. The trail occasionally overlaps with the paved all-purpose trail to link together loops.

Ohio & Erie Canal has four miles of singletrack, two pump tracks, jump lines, and a beginner's skill section. The singletrack is half old school technical hand cut trail and the other half is new school machine cut flow trail.

West Creek shared use mountain bike trails

West Creek has three miles of hand cut single track that is extremely flowy and fun for beginners and advanced riders alike.
