Hayrides Know Before You Go

HAYRides Know Before You Go:

    • The hayride may be bumpy.
    • No eating, drinking, or smoking on wagons.
    • There are no lights except from the tractor on the trail after dark.
    • The tractor and hayride travel into the woods along a trail near The Chalet.
    • Riders must remain seated while the hayride is in motion and through the entire ride.
    • Riders must always keep their hands and arms inside the wagon.
    • Secure all loose items including glasses, purses, wallets, credit cards and items in pockets and other belongings such as watches, rings, cell phones and cameras. We cannot stop the ride and search the trail or wagon if you lose an item. (Rings get loose on cold hands).
    • All riders must follow the hayride attendants’ instructions.
    • The entire ride, including loading and unloading wagons, is approximately 25-30 minutes.
    • No outside food or beverage permitted inside The Chalet building during Oktoberfest. 
    • No personal electrical appliances or extension cords are permitted inside or outside of the Chalet building during Oktoberfest. 
    • No cooking on charcoal grills during the Oktoberfest event. 
    • Seating during Oktoberfest is first come, first serve. 
    • Picnic tables and benches will be available for seating. Personal lawn chairs are welcome. 
    • No personal tents during Oktoberfest.
    • A limited number of coin lockers are available in our upstairs loft.
    • Ticket sales end one hour before closing.
    • The last hayride leaves the Chalet one half hour before closing.
    • If you have a private hayride reserved time, you must pick up your group ticket from the ticket booth and have your entire group in line at the designated area 10 minutes prior to your reserved time. No rainchecks or refunds for “No Shows”.
    • Leashed pets are welcome on The Chalet grounds. They are not permitted in The Chalet building or on Hayrides. 
    • Cleveland Metroparks is not responsible for injuries or personal property.
    • Ride at your own risk.
    • No refunds.
