Cleveland Metroparks has four designated natural surface mountain bike trails and most of them are shared use trails. Mountain Biking, including Class 1 and 2 eBike mountain biking is permitted when the trails are open from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Before riding, please check the trail conditions.
Riding on wet trails can have a negative impact, potentially causing ruts and surface damage. Help us be good stewards of the land and have trails that are enjoyable to ride all season by not riding when trails are marked closed.
In addition to the natural surface trails, mountain bikes are permitted on roadways and paved all purpose trails. Bikes are not permitted on hiking or bridle trails unless they are part of one of the mountain biking trails listed below.
The Traffic Code is applicable whenever a bicycle is operated.
Outdoor Recreation offers a series of cycling programs ranging from introductory try-it sessions and skills classes to races.
Bedford Reservation features an 11.5-mile trail network with everything from smooth flowing single track suitable for beginners to more technical, rocky terrain with elevation perfect for intermediate and advanced riders. The trail occasionally overlaps with the paved all-purpose trail to link together loops.
Royalview features a 7.1-mile single track system with a 1.1 mile advanced out-and-back spur. The trail is bi-directional, changing from clockwise to counter-clockwise daily to allow riders a different experience on the same trail. Royalview is located in Mill Stream Run Reservation near Strongsville.
Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation (OEC) has four miles of single track, two pump tracks, jump lines, and a beginner's skill section. OEC single track is half "old school" technical hand cut trail and the other half is "new school" machine cut flow trail.
West Creek Reservation is located in Parma and features three miles of hand-cut single track that is extremely flowy and fun for beginners and advanced riders alike.
