Primate Forest FAQs

PRIMATE FOREST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Primate Forest just opened, how can I get in?

The Zoo is using a timed entry process to manage building capacity for an enjoyable visit for all during expected high-volume times. To space out wait times, scan the Secure Your Spot QR code upon arrival or anywhere you see a sign inside the Zoo, pick the time you want to get in line, and proceed to the building when it is your time to line up. After securing your time slot, you will receive a text message confirmation. Don't have a phone? Ask a box office cashier for help.

2. Can I bring my stroller or wagon inside?

Due to expected high attendance, it is strongly encouraged to park strollers and wagons in designated areas inside the doors entering Primate Forest.

3. How long should I plan to visit Primate Forest?

60 - 90 minutes

4. Does the gift shop inside Primate Forest have different merchandise?

Yes! We are excited to offer EXCLUSIVE Primate Forest themed merchandise at this location that will not be available at other gift shops at the Zoo. See an item out of stock? Ask a retail cashier for assistance and we will check available inventory.

5. Can I take food and beverages inside?

Yes, outside food and drinks are permitted except for glass products and alcohol. Food items are not permitted in the PNC Adventure Playspace. Help us maintain a healthy, positive environment —please do not feed or tease the animals. Keep our waterways clean and safe for the animals. Don't throw objects including coins in the water.

6. What are the operating hours for Primate Forest?

Primate Forest has the same operating hours as the Zoo, similar to other buildings on the Zoo's campus. Grab N' Go concessions inside the building will close 15 minutes before the Zoo and made-to-order hot foods stop 45 minutes before the Zoo closes.

7. Does it cost extra?

Primate Forest is included with all paid general admission tickets and membership admission. On Mondays* when residents of Cuyahoga County and Hinckley Township get free entry to the main campus of the Zoo, guests can purchase a discounted ticket to enter Primate Forest.
