Cleveland Metroparks Zoo & The RainForest are open all year except January 1, and December 25. The main gate opens at 10 a.m. and the Zoo Box Office closes at 4 p.m.

Getting to the Zoo | Driving | By RTA Bus
Getting To The Zoo
You may encounter some delays getting to the Zoo on busy days - particularly weekends and Mondays - so you may want to allow yourself some extra time. The Zoo is located just 5 minutes from downtown and easily accessible from Interstates, 71, 77, 90 and 480.
To avoid delays, the following routes to the Zoo are suggested:
From I-71: Exit at Fulton Road, keep right at fork. Turn right on Fulton Road and follow Fulton Road/Fulton Parkway South to Wildlife Way. Turn left on Wildlife Way to Zoo entrance.
From I-90: Take I-71 South, exit at Fulton Road. Turn left at Fulton Road and follow Fulton Road/Fulton Parkway South to Wildlife Way. Turn left on Wildlife Way to Zoo entrance.
From I-480: Two options. Exit State Road north to Pearl Road and follow Zoo signs. Or, exit Ridge Road north to Memphis Avenue and follow Zoo signs.
From Akron: Two options. Take I-77 North to I-480 West. Exit State Road north to Pearl Road and follow Zoo signs. Or, exit Ridge Road north to Memphis Avenue and follow Zoo signs.
From I-80 (Ohio Turnpike):
Zoo accessed from two exits. Take Exit 173 to I-77 North, to I-480 West to State Road (north) to Pearl Road then follow Zoo signs. Or, take Exit 161 to I-71 North to West 25th Street then follow Zoo signs.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is located in Old Brooklyn, one of Cleveland's stable residential communities. Brooklyn Centre, with its quaint historic architecture, undergoes continuing commercial and residential investment.
The area includes specialty shops, restaurants, and stores and is bordered on the northeast by a new shopping center, Steelyard Commons, which offers several larger retail outlets as well as smaller retail stores.
Both Brooklyn Centre and Old Brooklyn are situated within the National Heritage Corridor surrounding the historic Ohio & Erie Canal.
