The new Calming Cove Sensory Room at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo was designed to include a variety of sensory experiences that can help individuals feel calm and comfortable during their Zoo visit. Located at the entrance of the Zoo’s Primate, Cat, & Aquatics building, guests have the option to enter and calm their nervous system before returning to and enjoying the Zoo. The new room as well as a universal changing station near the Daniel Maltz Rhino Reserve were funded by the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
