Limited individual summer camp scholarships are available for eligible recipients thanks to the generosity of the Cleveland Zoological Society.
Apply now and you will be contacted by Zoo staff to determine eligibility and availability. Camp session dates will be selected by Zoo staff.
THIS IS NOT A CONFIRMATION OF CAMP REGISTRATION. Application closes January 11, 2026. You will be notified by January 20 if your scholarship request has been approved. A scholarship application does not guarantee registration into a camp session. Camp registration opens February 2.
Eligibility: Qualifying campers will:
- Be Ohio residents who will be aged 5-14 on June 1, 2026
- Attend a school where 30% or more of the students receive free/reduced lunch as documented by the State of Ohio
- OR you are welcome to email proof of eligibility (SNAP, Medicaid, National School Lunch Program) to [email protected]
Camp date selection: Camp session dates will be selected by Zoo staff based on session/age availability. Individuals may not be able to choose their preferred camp week, but requests will be considered. Age groups are based on the camper’s age as of June 1, 2026.
Transportation: Campers must provide their own transportation to and from the Zoo to attend camp Monday-Friday of the selected camp week. Camp starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m.
Extended Care options: Extended care options will be made available as part of the awarded scholarship for families that need early/late accommodation. Before Care starts as early as 7:30 a.m. and After Care ends by 6:00 p.m.
