Ready to enhance your life skills? Want to stand out and build real-world skills that employers are looking for? We are excited to have you join us for a free 90-minute interactive program designed to empower teens with the essential soft skills needed for success in school, work, and life. Designed for high school students aged 16-18, this engaging series will focus on building core competencies that are critical for personal and professional development.

90-Minute Sessions Include:

General Workforce Skills

  • Communication: Strengthening verbal, non-verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Time Management: Learning how to prioritize tasks, set goals, and manage responsibilities effectively.
  • Work Ethic: Cultivating reliability, accountability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Adaptability: Developing flexibility and resilience in the face of change and challenges.
  • Résumé Building & Job Application Strategies: Gaining practical tools for crafting strong résumés and navigating the job application process with confidence.

Special Exploration Topic

  • A rotating monthly theme designed to deepen understanding of relevant topics such as career pathways, career connections and community engagement.

WILL THERE BE WALKING DURING THIS PROGRAM?

Yes. Our education programs are interactive experiences that take place in different locations within the Zoo. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and dressing appropriately for the weather. If you have any accessibility needs or concerns regarding mobility, please let us know so that accommodations can be made, if needed. DOES THE PROGRAM HAVE A COST ASSOCIATED WITH IT?

No. The program is free for participants.

CAN I SIGN UP A WHOLE CLASSROOM?

Yes, teachers are more than welcome to register their entire class.

CAN I SIGN UP FOR MORE THAN ONE CLASS?

Yes, you can sign up for a class in each category (3 total).

CAN INDIVIDUALS SIGN UP FOR THE PROGRAM?

Yes, everyone aged 16-18 are welcome to sign up for the program.

WILL LUNCH BE PROVIDED?

No. Participants are encouraged to eat before or after the program, as lunch will not be provided.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Closed-toe shoes are required. We recommend wearing casual, weather-appropriate clothing to ensure comfort throughout the program.
