LGBTQ+ people, allies, and friends are invited to join our naturalist staff to survey and identify moths and other nighttime pollinators after sunset in the CanalWay Center pollinator garden. There will also be an optional 1-mile hike to hear singing insects and look for nocturnal wildlife along the canal and river. Moth catching is through the use of a blacklight against a screen and is dependent on suitable weather conditions.
