Wallace Lake Rentals

Kayak rentals are available at Wallace Lake while Hinckley Lake in Hinckley Reservation is closed. Our on-site shop offers a limited selection of Cleveland Metroparks merchandise, live bait and tackle, as well as kayak and beach-related items for purchase. View rental information below.

Kayak Rentals at Wallace Lake

Open Friday & Saturday 11am to 5pm, Sunday 1pm to 5pm through August 11th

Last rental walk up time - 3:45 p.m.

Prices

Single Kayak - $20/hr    Tandem Kayak - $24/hr

Walk up rentals only – No reservations.

Credit Card payment only – NO CASH payments will be accepted.

Rules and Regulations

Must be over 18 to rent.

Minimum age to paddle in a single kayak (with an adult on water with minor) 8

Minimum age to paddle a tandem kayak (with an adult in kayak with minor) 5

Single kayaks

  • Sit in cockpit with weight capacity of 275 lbs.
  • Sit on top with weight capacity of 350 lbs

Tandem kayaks

  • Sit in cockpit with weight capacity of 550 lbs. 

Driver’s License or State issued ID required to rent. License will be held during rental.

All guests must complete a waiver to participate (guardian’s complete waivers for minors).

Launching and returning kayaks will require guests to walk in the water (feet/legs will get wet). Flip flops and water shoes will be available for purchase at check in. Dry bags to keep valuables dry while on the water will also be available for purchase.
