Astorhurst Disc Golf Course is a free 18 hole, par 65 course. The course spans 10,494 total yards, and features amateur, professional and competition tee boxes. Constructed in-house, the course utilizes rolling hills, elevation changes, and wooded areas that were features of the former Astorhurst Golf Course that is now a public park. Each hole begins with designated launch pads for tee shots and concludes with a common basket.
Protection of Astorhurst has helped to preserve a significant portion of Tinker's Creek and its associated headwater streams and floodplains. The 30-mile-long Tinker’s Creek is the largest tributary of the Cuyahoga River with a watershed spaning 4 counties and 24 communities, collecting water from nearly 100 square miles of land.
Major issues impacting the water quality of Tinker's Creek are excess nutrients, loss of wetlands, stream bank erosion and loss of greenspace and habitat. Preservation of Astorhurst Park is helping to combat these issues, improve the overall health of the Tinker's Creek watershed and protect valuable species.
Cleveland Metroparks restoration of the property has been supported by Clean Ohio Greenspace Conservation, U.S. Forest Service Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, Charles Pack Trust, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Partners for Wildlife Program.
