Due to high visitation expected at lakefront parks this weekend, all guests are encouraged to arrive at lakefront parks including Edgewater Park, Whiskey Island, Wendy Park and all other marinas and yacht clubs early. Vehicular access to park entrances will close as the parking lots reach capacity.
Cleveland Metroparks Police will be present on foot, bikes, in patrol cruisers and on horseback to assist in parking and safety. In case of emergency, please notify Cleveland Metroparks Police Headquarters immediately by calling 440-333-4911 or 911. Non-life-threatening situations should be reported to Cleveland Metroparks Police at 440-331-5530. To further ensure everyone's safety this holiday weekend, Cleveland Metroparks Police ask that you do not park in undesignated areas, in picnic areas or in grassy areas/on medians.
Seasonal Dining, Concessions, Marinas and Edgewater Nature Shop Open

In addition, Edgewater Nature Shop opens Friday, May 22. Open Memorial Day from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and daily 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. during the season, the Nature Shop is the perfect place to grab convenient beach supplies, beverages & snacks, or your favorite Cleveland Metroparks merchandise. Edgewater Nature Shop also rents lockers, beach umbrellas, lounge chairs and cabanas on the weekends and holidays.
Swim Safety
Cleveland Metroparks offers swimming opportunities at Huntington Beach, Wallace Lake, Edgewater Beach, Villa Angela and Ledge Pool. It’s recommended that guests only swim during lifeguarded hours, which begin Saturday, May 30 at Ledge Pool and June 6 at all waterfront locations. All patrons are required to follow Cleveland Metroparks Waterfront Rules and Regulations. Swimming and beach conditions are updated during guarded swimming hours and can be found at clevelandmetroparks.com/beaches.
eLCee2 Water Taxi
Cleveland Metroparks eLCee2 Water Taxi service returns May 22 with free boat rides to and from the East and West Bank of the Flats Fridays 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., Saturdays noon – 9 p.m., and Sundays noon – 7 p.m.
Water Rentals
Following the successful restoration of the Hinckley Dam, water rentals will return to Hinckley Lake beginning Memorial Day weekend, offering guests another way to enjoy one of Cleveland Metroparks most popular destinations. Paddle sport rentals will also return this summer at Wallace Lake, and for the first time, Cleveland Metroparks will offer water rentals along Cleveland’s lakefront at North Coast Harbor Marina. Visitors will be able to enjoy kayaks, paddleboards and other seasonal watercraft while exploring Cleveland Metroparks waterways and waterfront destinations. Boating
For boaters, please be aware of all locations with public boat launch access. Cleveland Metroparks offers public boat launch access at the Emerald Necklace Marina in Rocky River Reservation, Gordon Park Boat Launch in Lakefront Reservation, Wildwood Park in Euclid Creek Reservation as well as the Edgewater Park Boat Launch in Lakefront Reservation.
Public boat docks are available along the Cuyahoga River at Heritage Park and Rivergate Park, offering recreational boaters’ opportunities to explore the city’s network of trails that connect to the waterfront, and enjoy nearby Merwin’s Wharf. Users can pay an hourly rate for usage via an app.
Keep Our Parks Clean
Cleveland Metroparks works hard to keep up with maintenance across the park district. Guests are encouraged to “pack in, pack out” by bringing a suitable trash bag to dispose items at home. Guests will be fined for littering.
