Drop-in Service Days

Cleveland Metroparks offers drop-in service opportunities to community members without the commitment of becoming an ongoing volunteer.

These seasonal one-time service projects are perfect for individuals, families or for students looking to fulfill school service hour requirements. Drop-in service projects generally last 2-3 hours. Our drop-in service projects typically take place between April - October. Please sign up for one of our service days below by clicking on the appropriate event registration link and completing the appropriate registration form for each participant. Any youth registrations must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. If a volunteer is under the age of 16, they must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian. Registration is available for events 60 days into the future only.

High School Spring Break Service

Are you a high school student in need of service hours? Consider joining one of our High School Spring Break Service Opportunities! These projects are geared toward high school students specifically, and offer the opportunity to earn service hours while helping both Park Operations and Natural Resources staff. Currently, we have two shifts available on both April 7th and April 9th at Garfield Park Reservation.

Students may either sign up for one or both shifts on either or both days. The first shift will take place from 12pm-2pm and will include a maintenance project assisting Park Operations staff. The second shift will take place from 2:15pm-4:30pm and will include an invasive garlic mustard removal project with Natural Resources staff. Both meeting locations will be the Iron Springs Picnic Shelter Parking Lot in Garfield Park Reservation.

Like other Drop-In Opportunities, any participant under 18 will need a parent or guardian to fill out a waiver on their behalf. Any students under 16 who wish to participate must attend with an adult parent or guardian (the parent and guardian is not required to participate, but must remain onsite for the duration of the shift.

Please note that spots are limited. If you sign up but are no longer able to attend, please email [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can provide the opportunity to anyone else interested!
