Drop-in Service Days

Cleveland Metroparks offers drop-in service opportunities to community members without the commitment of becoming an ongoing volunteer.

These seasonal one-time service projects are perfect for individuals, families or for students looking to fulfill school service hour requirements. Drop-in service projects generally last 2-3 hours. Our drop-in service projects typically take place between April - October. Please sign up for one of our service days below by clicking on the appropriate event registration link and completing the appropriate registration form for each participant. Any youth registrations must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. If a volunteer is under the age of 16, they must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian. Registration is available for events 60 days into the future only.

Extreme Litter Cleanup

Join us on May 16th from 9am-Noon at Egbert Picnic Area in Bedford Reservation for an Extreme Litter Pickup. Led by Cleveland Metroparks staff, volunteers will hike to off-trail litter hot spots around Tinker's Creek to help clean up litter and large debris that has accumulated.

Terrain: paved and natural surfaces, rocky and slippery surfaces, ankle-deep to knee-deep water, strenuous hills, up to 2 miles.

Plan on wearing long pants and shoes that can get dirty/wet, as some volunteers may need to cross Tinker's Creek to access their assigned locations. A light lunch will be provided to volunteers after the cleanup has concluded!

Saturday, May 16; 9 am - Noon @ Egbert Picnic Area (Bedford Reservation)
