Cleveland Metroparks Scholars program is a unique partnership between Cleveland Metroparks, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) and KeyBank, designed to offer Tri-C students opportunities for higher education, meaningful employment and launch careers in STEM-related fields.

Scholars will be selected through a competitive application process and entered into a two-year associate degree track at Tri-C for careers in plant science/landscaping technology, accounting or information technology. Like a work-study structure, the Scholars will attend school and receive paid seasonal employment/internship with Cleveland Metroparks throughout their time in college. After graduation, Scholars will be considered for a full-time position at Cleveland Metroparks.

Applications for the Scholars program are open January 1st, 2025 through February 28th, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified on or before March 31st, 2025. The application process is based on several criteria including diversity of thought and practice, including but not exclusive to education, socio-economic background and work experience.

The Scholars program is designed to strengthen diversity in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workforce.
