Enjoy paddling on the seldom paddled Lower Shaker Lake as you explore the annual Take to the Lake Event hosted by Doan Brook Watershed Partnership. The event includes guided hikes, yoga, music, kayak rentals, and for those nervous about getting in a kayak or canoe, Cleveland Metroparks offers guided instruction. Kayaking is great for those who’d like to explore the lake in their own vessel, and canoes are perfect for families who want to voyage out together. Registration is required via Doan Brook Watershed Partnership Ages: 8 & over (Minors between the ages of 8-17 MUST have a registered & participating adult)
Registration for Try-It: Canoeing Lessons and Try-It: Kayaking Lessons is required. Day of registration will be available if spaces are available.
