The wonder of fireflies extends beyond the glittering lawns of childhood. Join us for a guided walk through a firefly lit forest and to a field where you can set up a lawn chair or blanket and have a seat to enjoy the sights of several different species of fireflies. Naturalists will be on hand to help you understand firefly ecology and the wonders that fill the night. If we are lucky, we may see synchronizing fireflies. To help protect wildlife and natural habitats, please enjoy fireflies without handling them and remain on designated trails and in approved areas. Most of this activity will take place with very limited lighting. Arrive any time between 9 – 10:30 p.m. and check in at the welcome desk to join a firefly viewing hike.
