Police Mounted Unit Fund

Since 1921, the Cleveland Metroparks Police Department Mounted Unit has served the unique public safety needs of the Park District. With more than 25,000 acres of land and hundreds of miles of trails, the Mounted Unit plays a critical role in protecting natural resources, assisting in emergencies and enhancing the safety and experience of park visitors.

In addition to their safety role, the horses and their officers serve as trusted ambassadors—engaging with the community at events and deepening the connection between the parks and the public.

Your donation helps provide the veterinary care, training, and equipment needed to support the well-being and readiness of both horse and officer. Thank you for helping ensure this historic and essential unit remains a strong presence in Cleveland Metroparks. Horse and equipment donations are also appreciated based on current needs.
