Cleveland Metroparks today announced the return of its popular Summer Concert Series, bringing live music back to the Wayside Furniture Stage with eight weeks of Thursday evening concerts at two of Cleveland’s most iconic waterfront destinations.
The free, weekly happy hour concert series kicks off June 11, featuring four consecutive Thursday night concerts at Euclid Beach before moving to Edgewater Beach for an additional four-week run. Concerts take place on Thursdays from 4 – 8 p.m., with live music beginning at 5 p.m.
Guests can enjoy happy hour and a beer garden presented by Leinenkugel’s, and a variety of food offerings from Cleveland Metroparks concessions and food trucks, all set against the backdrop of Lake Erie.
“We’re excited to kick-off summer with live music across our waterfront locations, including the return of our Summer Concert Series,” said Cleveland Metroparks CEO Brian M. Zimmerman. “These family-friendly concerts provide the perfect setting to connect with nature and enjoy great local music along Cleveland’s incredible shoreline.”
There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy live music across the Park District beginning in June and continuing throughout the summer. Local artists will perform weekly at scenic locations throughout the parks: Wednesdays near The Noshery at Huntington Beach; Fridays at Emerald Necklace Marina in Rocky River Reservation; Saturdays at The Galley in the Patrick S. Parker Community Sailing Center; and Sundays at Merwin’s Wharf.
Two additional concerts include the New Philadelphia Steel Band on June 19 at a location to be determined and The Jimmy’s Band on August 27 at Edgewater Beach.
