Cleveland Metroparks and the Cleveland Cavaliers today announced they raised $6,402 for the Cleveland Metroparks Trails Fund through sales of limited-edition City Edition merchandise from last season’s partnership. The co-branded collection celebrated the natural places that define Northeast Ohio.

The partnership brought together two organizations committed to celebrating and investing in the region, from the places where Northeast Ohioans gather, play, and explore to the trails and natural spaces that connect our communities.

The Cleveland Metroparks Trails Fund supports the continued development, improvement and preservation of the more than 340 miles of trails throughout the park district. Donations help provide resources for trail improvements and maintenance, new connections and opportunities for people throughout Northeast Ohio to experience the outdoors.

The City Edition collaboration was inspired by the theme of “The Land,” celebrating the natural landscape that is part of Northeast Ohio’s identity and the role it plays in bringing people together. The partnership also reflects a shared commitment to sustainability and protecting the region’s natural resources for future generations.

“Cleveland Metroparks and the Cleveland Cavaliers share a deep connection to this community and a commitment to making Northeast Ohio a great place to live, work and play,” said Cleveland Metroparks CEO Brian M. Zimmerman. “This partnership gave fans another way to celebrate ‘the land’ while directly supporting the trails and natural places that make our region special. We are grateful to everyone who purchased the City Edition merchandise and helped turn their Cleveland pride into an investment in our trails.”

“Our city’s pride and passion for its teams and greatest assets are unrivaled across the nation,” said Chris Kaiser, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rock Entertainment Group. “Last season’s City Edition partnership with Cleveland Metroparks was always about more than merchandise. It was about maximizing the shared impact we can have when we work together, and this outcome reinforces that commitment.”

The partnership builds on a shared vision for a more sustainable and connected Northeast Ohio region. The Cleveland Metroparks Trails Fund helps preserve, maintain and expand our trail network and ensure that the Park District's trails continue to inspire and connect visitors for generations to come.
