Congratulations to our 2026 Cleveland Metroparks Match Play Champion Matt Paterini! What a great weekend of golf at Shawnee Hills! The unpredictable Ohio weather was not on our side as these guys battled through wind, rain, sleet and cold temperatures throughout the event. I would like to thank everyone for participating this weekend.   | Congratulations to Ryan Stefanski with an impressive round of 73, to take home the win at the 2026 Ironwood Ironman Tournament! Although consistent spring rain caused the course to be a little wet, the weather cooperated during the round, with the sun coming out toward the end of the event. From looking at everyone’s bags before the match, it seemed like a Driver and Putter were obvious yet popular choices for the 5 club limit. Thank you to Superintendent Steve Maclay and his team for getting the course ready this week and making it look great! Thank you all again for playing and we hope to see you again next year! |
| 2026 Manakiki - Two Player Better Ball | |

 | Thirty teams teed it up in the 2026 Manakiki 2-person scramble event. The rain came down just as the last group walked off the 18th green as we had a great showing of golf today. Luke Liberatore and Brett Dubin lead the field and finished on top with an impressive 9 under 63. The teams of: Dave and Will Kurtz, as well as Jimmy Wild and Mike Simpson shot 8 under 64 to fill out the podium. Thank you to Bill Roeder and the entire Manakiki staff for their efforts this weekend to maintain great playing conditions. |
| 2026 Sleepy Hollow - Two Player Better Ball | |

 | Sleepy Hollow kicked off its first Player of the Year event this season with the Better Ball Tournament. We had 49 teams compete, and we want to thank everyone who came out and supported not only today’s event, but all of our Cleveland Metroparks golf events. We truly appreciate it and look forward to another great season of hosting you. Congratulations to our winners, Mike Simpson and Phil Bojc, who finished with an impressive -6. Second place went to Ryan Stefanski and Ryan Gutowski at -5, followed by Ben Foltz and Evan Ferrara in third at -4. A special shoutout to Marc Pucky and his crew for the time, effort, and pride they put into keeping Sleepy Hollow in outstanding condition, not just this weekend, but every day! |
| 2026 Senior Greater Cleveland Amateur (50+) | |

| Two days of near perfect weather created some history in this year's Senior Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship, as Steve Blackburn shot a tournament low 67 on day two to capture this year's title. He now joins his father as the first father-son duo to have their names engraved on the Senior Greater Cleveland Amateur trophy. John Pustai and his crew's hard work was on full display over the last two days with players facing challenging greens on a meticulously prepared course. | 2026 Manakiki Course Championship | |

  | Manakiki hosted 60 of the area's best amateur golfers this weekend in the first of the Cleveland Metroparks GCAC qualifying events, the 2026 course championship. Mike Simpson started the day with the lead and made 3 birdies coming home to finish up winning the tournament (71/73). Steve Blackburn played the round of the tournament shooting 4 under 68 to put the pressure on Simpson all day. Steve finished the tournament just 1 back of the lead at +1 for the weekend (77/68). Chris Okeson also played well rounding out the podium in 3rd place (78/70) tied with Luke Liberatore (73/75) and Shaun Kloetzer (72/76).   | Congratulations to Shaun Kloetzer for winning the 2026 Ironwood Course Championship. His second consecutive round under par clinched the comeback victory (70-68). The leaderboard was extremely competitive the whole weekend. The weather was perfect with minimal wind and lots of sun for the second day of play. A slight fog delay on day two pushed starting times back 30 minutes but after it cleared the day was perfect for great scoring. Thank you to Steve Maclay and his crew for getting the course ready and making it look great. The greens were rolling great all weekend and pin placements kept everyone honest. | 2026 Big Met Course Championship | |

  | Luke Liberatore was able to overcome a three-shot deficit to win his second consecutive Big Met Course Championship. His back-to-back 67s were the lowest two-day score at Big Met since 2012. Tim Straka and Bryan Yeo were able to put together two under par rounds and finish T-2nd at 139. Colin Burns, Andrew Riggs and Brian Smith rounded out the top five. Weather and course conditions were ideal over the two days, with John Pustai and his staff setting a fantastic stage for a challenging tournament this year which drew rave reviews from competitors and spectators alike. 2026 Big Met Championship Results |
| 2026 Shawnee Hills Course Championship | |

  | The 2026 Shawnee Hills Course Championship was one for the record Books. Former Cleveland Stake Viking Andrew Kaye followed up his historic day one 62 with another impressive 68 to capture the title by 9 strokes. Andrew left little doubt in the outward nine on Sunday shooting 3 under which allowed him to cruise to a smooth even par on the back nine for 3 under on the day. The 36-hole total of 12 under par and 9 shot victory is likely one of the largest margins of victories in CMP Course Championship history. Michael Doherty followed his 68 up with an even par 71 while Ryan Wirtz rounded out the podium with a 36-hole total of 1 under par. Congratulations to the top 9 finishers who will earn an Invitation to the Greater Cleveland Amateur in August.
