The weather did not cooperate but everyone in the field gutted it out to get to the finish line. It was an impressive show of resolve from everyone. But, after all the rain and wind, we were able to finish the event on schedule.

A - Flight Championship Match

Dylan Dunn defeated Jacob Halligan 2up. Jacob had a birdie putt on the 18th hole to put the pressure on Dylan, but Dylan made a birdie putt to put the match away. It was great golf played by both of them.

B - Flight Championship Match

Josh Blaha defeated Thomas Decaro 5&4 to win the flight. It was a great weekend of golf out of Josh after getting into the event the day before off the waitlist after a spot opened up.

A - Flight Consolation Match

Luke Liberatore won after his opponent had to withdraw from the match. To his credit after a long couple of days he still finished his round posting a 2 under par. That was going to be tough to overcome with the conditions today.

2025 Ironman at Ironwood
image001.jpg

Thanks to everyone for participating in the 2025 Ironman at Ironwood Tournament. Things were a little different from last year. With the course playing a lot longer and way too much rain the last few weeks, the course play harder and scores were a touch higher. The 4th hole ranked as the hardest hole on the course with a stroke average of 5.74, due to a somewhat mischievous pin placement.

Congratulations to Andrew Malkus and Carter Woodward for tying at a +2, 73!

2025 Manakiki - Two Player Better Ball
IMG_0363.jpeg

The unpredictable Ohio weather played a big factor when determining the 2025 Manakiki 2-person scramble champions. We had sun, storms, wind, and chill come through the area which made for some difficult scoring conditions.

Ryan Stefanski and Mike Simpson took charge after back-to-back eagles on holes 12 and 13. They ended up finishing the tournament with a 9 under par 63 to take home the win. Colin Burns and Rick Deichert shot 62 to take second place.

Thank you to superintendent Bill Roeder, and his whole staff for keeping the golf course in such great condition throughout the tough spring weather.

Thanks to all who came out and joined us for Sleepy Hollow's Better Ball Tournament!

In true Sleepy fashion, the rain showed up right on schedule - as it always does when we host a tournament. Despite the soggy conditions, we had an exciting day!

Stefanski and Gutowski set the pace with an impressive 32 on the front nine, highlighted by birdies on holes 4, 7, and 9. They maintained composure on the back nine to post a solid 68, securing a well-earned victory through consistent play and teamwork!

Thank you all for participating in the 2025 Manakiki course championship and GCAC qualifier.

We saw some low scores Sunday as we had a total of 5 rounds in the 60's after nobody broke 70 on Saturday.

The heat did not affect Jake Morgan as he fired an impressive 67 to finish the weekend 6 under and take home the championship.

Jimmy Wild made a strong push making 8 birdies today but fell just short with a weekend score of 4 under. Phil Bojc rounded out the top 3 with his two day total of 2 under.

Thank you to Bill Roeder and his team for stellar playing conditions as always.

What a weekend of golf over the last 2 days! After day one, there was a log jam of players with a chance to win going into day two. On Sunday it got even better.

Luke Liberatore posted a 66 to set the mark for the rest of the field, and the field responded. Coming down the stretch we had a tie at 1 under between 4 players going into the 18th hole with everyone watching and waiting for a playoff. Benjamin Farina made a 25 foot putt on the 18th hole for birdie to shut the door on the tournament. What an ending and congratulations to Ben on his win.

As always, thank you to Brad Vecchio and his turf crew for all the work they did to keep the course in great condition!

The 2025 Seneca Course Championship wrapped up with a convincing finish, as Chris Okeson claimed the title with a composed and confident performance. Okeson fired a final round 70 (-2) to post a two-day total of 141 (-3) a score that was enough to hold off a talented and competitive field.

The final round featured a battle with Ian Morgan, who kept the pressure on all day long. The two players went back and forth exchanging the lead, making for an exciting back 9. Morgan’s determination was evident, but in the end, Okeson’s poise proved decisive.

We want to thank all of the golfers who participated and helped make this year’s championship such a great event.

A special thank you to Kevin Kolesar and his staff for providing fantastic course conditions all weekend long. Their effort and attention to detail provided an exceptional weekend for the field.
