Natalie Ronayne joined Cleveland Metroparks as its first Chief Development Officer in November of 2016 to provide leadership and direction to all aspects of the fundraising activities of the Park District, including individual giving, grants, and planned giving. With the support and leadership of Brian Zimmerman, CEO, Natalie has built and directed the agency’s development effort, coordinating efforts to secure a diverse base of public and private support, totaling over $145 Million over the last eight years and growing the donor base by over 200%.

Natalie and her team work to build community support for the Park District’s short and long-term priorities, such as the annual needs of the Trails Fund, Conservation Fund, Outdoor Experiences and Land Protection Fund, and capital enhancements, such as Garfield Park, Brecksville Trailside Program Center and investments along the lakefront including The Mandel Community Trail and the Patrick S. Parker Community Sailing Center. Natalie partners with other local philanthropic leaders to strengthen the Emerald Necklace Endowment Fund held at the Cleveland Foundation and the Emerald Necklace Fund held at the Community West Foundation.

Natalie earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Wittenberg University and a master's degree in environmental policy and management from Indiana University.
