Directions: Meet at Rocky River Nature Center
Ages: 14 & over with registered and participating adult
Fee: $75 (Includes: basic fly kit-6 flies & leader)
Prerequisite: Fly Fishing 1 & 2 and/or working knowledge of fly casting.
Terrain/Distance: Participants will traverse up and down the river on rocky surfaces for about 4 miles.
Discover the tranquility of fly fishing in the Rocky River under the guidance of Jeff Liskay. Learn advanced steelhead fly fishing techniques including casting as you travel the river looking for the best fishing locations. The focus of the class will be on learning techniques rather than catching a lot of fish. Hopefully, you’ll be able to tell your own fish story afterwards though!
Fishing license required; must be purchased prior to class.
Participants are highly encouraged to bring their own rod and reel. A rod and reel can be provided if you request you need it (note it in the comments when registering online, or call the office: 216-341-1704). Chest waders aren’t available. Participants
MUST bring their own chest waders as you will be required to walk through up to waist deep water. Hip boots aren’t tall enough. Bring a packed lunch. Classes will begin promptly, so plan to arrive early. Please bring a completed
waiver and review the participant
equipment list.
