If you have wanted to get on a mountain bike and discover what mountain biking is all about but don’t have a mountain bike or want to get a friend into mountain biking, this is the program to check out! Borrow one of our mountain bikes and as weather allows, actually go ride a mountain bike trail! If we can’t venture onto the mountain bike trails due to wet trail conditions, we’ll ride on the paved trails, stopping in grass areas along the way to show a few basic bike skills and discuss basic bike equipment you should consider having with you when you ride. The entire program will be spent outside; please dress appropriately for the weather. Reference the
3Ws of layering for more information about how to dress. Classes will begin promptly, so plan to arrive early.
- Helmets provided and required.
- A photo ID of at least one person in the group is required at the start of the program.
- Please bring a completed waiver and review the participant equipment list.
- Mountain bike trails are weather dependent. If they are closed due to wet trail conditions, the try-it will be moved to the paved All-Purpose Trail. There will be no refunds for this change.
