    Online Nature Center Photography Challenge

Parks | Education | Education Programs | Virtual Learning | Online Nature Center | Activities | Lessons | Online Nature Center Photography Challenge
Some reasons to do a photo challenge:
    • A way to direct your outside time and give meaning to it each day
    • Encourage kids to look at and explore familiar landscapes in a new way
    • Work on developing an artistic eye through repetitive practice
    • Try something new!
    • Practice considering your own interpretation of an idea  zTry photography as an art form
    • Challenge yourself to stick with a goal and complete it
    How to do this activity:
    • Use any device with a camera- do you have old cameras that are unused? Or can you sketch, draw or paint each day?
    • Choose a week/ month/ the whole list of topics to tackle. Set a goal that seems doable for you.
    • Each day, head outside and take a photo that you think matches the topic. There are no right or wrong answers!
    • No need to go far- many of these things can be found in your backyard, on your balcony or in your neighborhood!
    • When you’re ready, create a collage or collection, or simply share your photos together. Which do you like best? Which are things you never noticed before? How did your photos change as time went by? Can you see seasonal change in your pictures?
    Rules for this challenge:
    • All photos must be taken outside.
