Save Vanishing Species Stamp
The Save Vanishing Species semipostal stamps provide funding for projects supported by the Multinational Species Conservation Funds (MSCF), which are administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to conserve endangered species in the wild. Net proceeds from the sale of the stamp directly support efforts to save critically endangered species like rhinos, elephants, tigers, turtles, and great apes—at no cost to U.S. taxpayers. To date, 99 projects in 35 countries have been funded to help these beloved, highly threatened species . The stamp is currently on sale nationwide via the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and online.
This holiday season, we invite you to join Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, the Wildlife Trafficking Alliance, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in an effort to significantly increase sales of the stamp. By joining together in this holiday campaign, we can help to (1) raise funding for critical conservation efforts; and (2) send a strong message to Congress that the public supports this initiative, encouraging the reauthorization of the stamp (via H.R. 1247/S. 480).
How you can help:
- Purchase the Save Vanishing Species Stamp to use in your holiday mailing
- Encourage your local post office to carry the stamp
- Share a social media post about the stamp and ask your friends and family to purchase it, too
