- Shade-grown coffee and sustainable tea
- Sustainable seafood
- Reusable, recycled, recyclable, and sustainable (avoid plastics)
- Sustainable palm oil (RSPO certified)
Use Your Voice
Be a voice for wildlife and wild places – advocate for wildlife online!
Let public officials, corporations and other decision and policy makers know that you care, and that you expect them to help us protect wildlife. Encourage others to do the same!
Here are some ways to get started through our partner, Wildlife Conservation Society:
Use Your Eyes and Ears
DON’T FEED THE TROLLS
Don’t view, like or share online content that could contribute to the abuse and/or illegal trade of wildlife (protected wildlife being offered for sale/trade or being kept as a pet). Encourage others to do the same - by demonstrating that there is no consumer demand for this type of unethical content, we can discourage it from being produced.
SEE SOMETHING – SAY SOMETHING!
Actively monitor and report any illegal or suspicious activity related to protected wildlife being offered for sale/trade or being kept as a pet (especially online).
Report it to WildLeaks
Use the Zoo
RECYCLE YOUR CELL PHONE AND OTHER ELECTRONICS AT THE ZOO
Recycle your old cell phones, tablets, mp3 players, and other consumer electronics at the zoo! Recycling retired devices benefits the environment and all its inhabitants by saving energy, reclaiming precious metals and diverting toxins from our landfills. It also helps preserve important animal habitats by reducing the demand for Coltan – a mineral mined in the rainforests of Central Africa. We’ve partnered with Eco-Cell to offer electronics recycling that benefits gorilla conservation.
ROUND UP FOR CONSERVATION
When you visit food and retail locations within the zoo, round up your total to the next dollar for conservation. It may seem like a small gesture, but it adds up to a more secure future for wildlife!
