Drinking it Up: A tasty tale of coffee with a sip of Andean Bear

Ease into your morning when you taste test shade-grown coffee while enjoying a light breakfast at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.  This two hour program on the relationship between coffee and Andean Bears include a walking tour to the Wilderness Trek area. 

Participants will learn about Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s new specialty shade-grown coffee that was developed specifically for coffee-lovers to help wild Andean bears and support the Andean Bear Conservation Alliance.

Course Information

Meet inside of the Reinberger Education Center – 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, OH 44111 

Terrain: Indoors for half of the program. Outdoor portion of the program include a concrete walking trail for about 1 – 1.5 miles with some hills. Dress for rain or shine.

Cost

Fee: $15 per person; recommended for coffee-loving adults.

Ground coffee is available for purchase after the program in the Zoo’s Gift Shop. Program participants will receive a discount coupon to purchase the Zoo’s specialty shade-grown coffee following the program, with proceeds supporting the Andean Bear Conservation Alliance.
