    Details

Are you looking for a way to spice up your online meetings, classes, or seminars? How about a visit with a charismatic animal from Cleveland Metroparks Zoo? The Zoo is now offering a 10-minute Virtual Get Close with one of our zoo animals.  Whichever animal you choose, it will be a wild experience.

The Zoo is able to host/attend up to one Virtual Get Close per weekday (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

During registration, we ask that you:
    • Indicate a specific start time between 10am-3pm
    • List three (3) animals in order of preference that you'd be interested in seeing during your Virtual Get Close. While only one (1) animal will be joining you for a virtual meeting, this provides flexibility in case a certain animal is not available the day of your experience.
    • Let us know if the Zoo will be hosting the meeting and sending you the meeting link or if you are asking for an animal to join your meeting.

    Dates/Times

    Monday-Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

During registration, we ask that you indicate a specific start time between these hours.

    Cost

    $50 for a 10 minute animal cameo.

    FAQ

What animal will be seen during my meeting?

We will try our best to have your first choice animal attend the meeting. During the online purchase, you will be prompted to list three (3) animals in order of preference. Example: koala, elephant, tiger. More examples of animals that you could potentially have join your meeting include:
    • elephant
    • koala
    • lion
    • porcupine
    • rhinoceros
    • giraffe
    • tiger
    • flamingo
    • orangutan
    • otter

How many animals will I see during my meeting?

    One.

Why do I get to list three animals during online registration?

The animals in Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's care can choose to participate in programming. You are asked to list three (3) animals in case your first choice of animal does not choose to or is unable to attend your meeting. Animals may be subject to change due to welfare or health concerns.

What video conference platform is used for this program?

If Cleveland Metroparks Zoo hosts the meeting, it will be offered using Zoom. One week before your scheduled meeting date, you will receive a virtual meeting invite by email from our education team. On the day of your Virtual Get Close, you will need to access this meeting invite to log into your registered experience and meet your Zoo instructor and animal.

If you are hosting the meeting and want an animal from the Zoo to join your meeting, please indicate that during registration. A member of the education team will then reach out to you after your purchase for those meeting invite details.
