Welcome to the 2024 Trail Challenge, a guest led program where you are challenged to complete 10 trails in 10 different Cleveland Metroparks reservations on your own in 2024! Explore new trails, move to better health, discover the wonders of nature, and earn a prize.
To get started, follow these simple steps:
- Sign up here.
- Download the route sheet (available soon)
- Log your trails by checking off what reservations you completed trails in on the tracking sheet, digitally via online or the Cleveland Metroparks App using badges starting January 1.
- When you have completed 10 trails in 10 different reservations, collect your sticker and prize*!
Participation
Complete 10 trails in 10 different reservations by any legal means (bike, hike, paddle, run, skate or walk) from January 1, 2024 – December 15, 2024 to receive this year’s trail challenge sticker and prize*.
- Complete at least 10 trails in 10 different reservations and earn a one-of-a-kind Trail Challenge sticker and prize!*
- *Prize is limited to the first 250 guests.
New for 2024!
- Visit 10 different trails in 10 different reservations and earn the sticker and the prize*. You can complete the trails suggested on the route sheet or create your own adventure by choosing the trails of your choice. You can also go online for many programs to choose from throughout the year. Get outside and explore new reservations! Use the route sheet as a guide.
- If you want to do this completely on your phone, download the Cleveland Metroparks App, and you can earn badges for certain specific trails marked with the Trail Challenge badge icon. Only certain trails have a badge icon and can be tracked in the app, but you can still use the app to navigate all the trails.

Prize Redemption
2024 Trail Challenge prizes are available April 1, 2024 – January 31, 2025 (while supplies last). Bring an electronic or printed copy showing 10 completed trails in 10 different reservations to one of the following locations between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., 7 days a week to collect your prize:
- Brecksville Nature Center, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., 7 days a week, 440-526-1012
