Since taking over management of the lakefront in 2013, Cleveland Metroparks has returned Edgewater Park to a neighborhood and regional destination for people of all ages. Soon it will also be home to one of the best urban bike trails in the nation when the Wendy Park Bridge project is completed and the Lakefront Bikeway connects the Towpath Trail to Lake Erie.
Yet, there are significant elements of the master plan, such as new trail linkages between Perkins Beach and the bluffs, new overlooks and terraced staircases, and new fitness circuits that could be achieved with additional community support. The
Edgewater Enhancement Fund has been started to address these priorities and 100% of your donation will go to supporting these identified needs; it will not fund any overhead or administrative costs.
