Spending 22 days in the backcountry is one of the most refreshing and relaxing things you can do. Travel along with Rachel and Phil Nagle on their northbound thru-hike of the John Muir Trail (JMT) from Shepherd’s Pass to Yosemite Valley including stops at Cloud’s Rest, Half Dome, and Mount Whitney. Learn how we were affected by the wildfires in Yosemite as well as appreciate days without roads and cell signal but filled with alpine lakes, vast views, and fun critters (especially marmots and pica)!
A trip like this doesn’t just happen though. It requires intentional logistical planning from permits and travel arrangements to equipment and meal planning. During this Skills & Thrills program, you’ll not only hear an inspiring story along the JMT, but you’ll walk away with additional knowledge of meal planning, repackaging food, and how you can fit 10 days of food in a bear canister!
The Skills & Thrills Series is designed for you to hear an inspiring outdoor adventure story as well as learn new skills you can apply to your next adventure. There will be time for Q&A and adventure comradery at each. Check out the entire series:
Conclude the series by joining us for the 3rd
