An ice ax, harness, helmet and crampons could only mean one thing. It's time for an ice climbing adventure. Learn how to ice climb as we travel to Fenton, Michigan to climb a 45' and 72' ice tower created by the Peabody Ice Climbing Club. To prepare, we'll spend an evening inside at Kendall Cliffs climbing gym to learn climbing and belaying techniques essential for ice climbing. Upon successful completion, participants will become belay certified. Dress for the weather; layers suggested. No experience necessary. The Pre-Trip Meeting is mandatory and exclusive for all paid trip participants. If you haven't registered, we kindly ask you not to come to the pre-trip meeting as this is where we develop group dynamics specifically for this trip. When you sign up for a trip, you'll appreciate this as well. Feel free to call our office if you have additional questions or are interested in planning your own trip.
Registration opens December 15. Late fee applies January 22.
