Inspired by nature? Express your inner artist through the Emerald Necklace Art Club
Art is powerful.
Imagine the unexplored wilderness, venturing into a new and beautiful landscape untouched by civilization. Taken by the sight, you prop your empty canvas on an easel, pull out your paints, and begin to interpret nature through the magic of your brush. Early artists have done this before, when the Great West was yet a mystery. Thomas Moran, Albert Bierstadt, and other renown artists captured the majesty of a pristine landscape through their art, and their works were integral in the establishment and preservation of the National Parks, such as Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon.
You need not travel hundreds of miles to be inspired by nature. Cleveland Metroparks is in your backyard. You are invited to travel to the scenic landscapes of the Emerald Necklace with brush in-hand, ready to interpret the wonders around you in the company of other artists. This is the Emerald Necklace Art Club. Join us!
What is the Emerald Necklace Art Club?
The Emerald Necklace Art Club is open to any adults who have an interest in painting or drawing on site. You do not have to be an experienced artist to join. As a group we will seek to artistically interpret a variety of landscapes throughout the park, sharing tips, techniques, and each other’s company. Each month we will meet at a different location and spend some time appreciating the season.
