Exhibit Lab in 1962 Rocky River Trailside Museum exhibit, 1964
In the mid-1970s a modern building was erected on the grounds of the old CCC camp in Brecksville Reservation to house all of the graphic arts projects in Cleveland Metroparks. This work not only included nature center exhibits, but park signs and printed materials. photos from 1975-1977 Report of the Cleveland Metroparks Board of Commissioners
Today this building which houses the Visual Communications department is known throughout the park system as VisCom. All through the week the talented photographer, designers and support staff based in the VisCom building work to create everything from small informative signs to spectacular exhibits. You have probably enjoyed their work on visits to Cleveland Metroparks and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, on our website or within the pages of the Emerald Necklace. Work on "Dunk" for Rocky River Nature Center was actually done in the maintenance building on Rocky River Reservation so he did not have so far to travel to the nature center! Adding finishing touches to the interior of NatureTracks, Cleveland Metroparks mobile nature center.
