Tips to make the most of your Boo at the Zoo experience!

Halloween is approaching fast! It’s time to figure out a costume and pick a date to head out to the 26th annual Boo at the Zoo presented by Giant Eagle. This year Boo at the Zoo runs from October 15-18 and 22-25, and is open an extra hour each night, from 5-9 p.m.!

With so many different family friendly activities, Boo at the Zoo can be a whirlwind for first-time visitors. So we’ve got a few handy tips to make your visit easy, so you can concentrate on making fun, family memories.

    1. Get your tickets in advance! Tickets for Boo at the Zoo can sell out fast, especially for the Friday and Saturday night event dates. Don’t spend your Halloween fun time waiting in line at the Box Office, buy your tickets at clevelandmetroparks.com/zoo.

    2. Wear a costume! Whether you’re 2 or 102, nothing adds to the “spirit” of the event like a clever costume – so break out your best cute critter, caped crusader or goofy goblin! (Adults should refrain from wearing masks that completely cover their faces.)

    3. Take a minute to look over the gate handout when you arrive at the Zoo and figure out what the top things you and your family would like to see and where they’re located.

    4. Bring a flashlight! There are lots of Halloween lights to decorate the Zoo, but some areas may need a little extra illumination!

    5. Don’t forget to visit your favorite animals! Many of the Zoo’s animals stay out on exhibit for Boo at the Zoo!

    Don’t miss it!
