Nature’s water is the magnanimous ruler of the earth. It is a universal healer: satiating the body after an arduous hike, greening dormant seedlings with its spring rains, and cleansing the skin of the earth as creeks flow to meet their neighboring rivers, lakes, and seas.
Water’s voice can take the shape of soft, sullen raindrops or torrential waterfalls. It can soothe one’s soul as it alights the earth disguised as a myriad of mist, rain, fog, or snow, leaving clouds and rainbows in its earthbound path. Water is bold and voluminous. It can threaten the landscape with scouring floods when it teams up with abrupt terrain, winds, and currents.
