It’s been a great couple weeks in Cleveland for a few reasons! Aside from this week’s fantastic weather, the all-new giraffe deck is officially open at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo! On a beautiful morning, the Ben Gogolick Giraffe Encounter opened to the public. Families lined up with their Romaine lettuce leaves ready for the giraffes to stretch their long purple tongues around the leaf for a tasty snack. What’s so cool about the new giraffe feeding deck is that it enables guests to have a much more interactive experience with the giraffes. The giraffe deck is much larger and positioned farther into the exhibit. And, the new deck brings more opportunities for the world’s tallest mammal and humans to meet nose-to-nose; the deck is now open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Labor Day!
Kids’ faces light up with excitement when the giraffes grab the leaf from their hand, but not only kids are delighted by the experience. Zoo guests of all ages line up for this unforgettable experience! Plan your visit to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo today, the giraffes are waiting are for you!
