      Trail Challenge: Knots to Know for Adventure

      Experience Whipp’s Ledges Loop trail as you take in the beauty of the unique rock formations, ledges, and exposed cliff edges. If you’re lucky, you might see a few rock climbers! After the hike, learn a few knots that are helpful to know wherever you go adventuring!

      • Terrain: Approximately 1 mile of natural surface terrain with steep grades, exposed cliff edges, and rocks
      • All Ages (Minors between the ages of 0-17 MUST have a participating adult) Free

      Cancelled Due To Weather

      Directions: Meet at Top O’ Ledges Picnic Area    
      Ages: All Ages (Minors between the ages of 0-17 MUST have a participating adult)
      Fee: Free - Registration preferred, walk-ups permitted.   
      Terrain/Distance: Approximately 1 mile of natural surface terrain with steep grades, exposed cliff edges, and rocks
      Whether you’re completing your 1st or 10th Trail Challenge route, join Cleveland Metroparks staff for a short hike that will incorporate learning an outdoor skill that you can incorporate into your next adventure.  The entire program will be spent outside; please dress appropriately for the weather. Dressing in non-cotton layers is encouraged.  Please review the equipment list.  Classes will begin promptly, so plan to arrive early.

      Cleveland Metroparks staff can adapt many programs to be accessible to anyone who would like to participate assuming they meet the essential eligibility criteria. Reasonable accommodation can also be made. Please make a request at the time of registration but no later than 72 business hours prior to the program.
