      Join us for a presentation on some of Cleveland Metroparks upcoming adaptive and inclusive outdoor recreation programs specifically designed for people with disabilities including but not limited to individuals with physical, cognitive, neurological and sensory impairments. We will cover programs such as kayaking, handcycling, and more. We also want to hear from you to discuss your outdoor recreation experiences and how we can better serve you. This presentation is open to guests of all abilities.

      Did you know that Cleveland Metroparks has outdoor recreation programs specifically designed for people with disabilities including but not limited to individuals with physical, cognitive, neurological, visual, hearing, and sensory impairments? Recent studies show that spending time in nature has positive impacts on our physical and mental health and well-being. Cleveland Metroparks is dedicated to connecting individuals and communities to access natural spaces and outdoor experiences. Join our Outdoor Recreation Inclusion Specialist for a presentation on some of our upcoming adaptive and inclusive outdoor recreation programs such as kayaking, handcycling, camp cooking, fishing and more! There will be time to explore some of the equipment we have available and answer questions. We also want to hear from you with an open community discussion about your outdoor recreation experiences and how we can better serve people with disabilities, their families and caregivers in future Cleveland Metroparks outdoor recreation programs. This presentation is open to guests of all abilities who are interested in learning more about outdoor recreation opportunities available for people with disabilities in Cleveland Metroparks.
       

      Cleveland Metroparks staff can adapt many programs to be accessible to anyone who would like to participate assuming they meet the essential eligibility criteria. Reasonable accommodation can also be made. Please make a request at the time of registration but no later than 72 business hours prior to the program.
