      Trail Challenge: Exploring the Lakefront

      Join Cleveland Metroparks staff as we explore the newly opened APT connecting Edgewater to Wendy Park, turning around once we’ve checked out the new Wendy Park Bridge! Before heading back to Edgewater, we’ll learn about on-water ways to enjoy our beautiful lakefront too, via the Cuyahoga River Water Trail and Lake Erie Water Trail.

      • Terrain: About 3.8 miles of mostly flat, paved surface.

      Directions: Meet at the entrance to the Edgewater Fishing Pier   
      Ages: All Ages (Minors between the ages of 0-17 MUST have a participating adult)
      Fee: Free - Registration preferred, walk-ups permitted.   
      Terrain/Distance: About 3.8 miles of mostly flat, paved surface. There is very little shade on this lakefront trail, so depending on weather conditions this hike can be windy and/or exposed to the sun.
      Whether you’re completing your 1st or 20th Trail Challenge route, join Cleveland Metroparks staff for a 3.8 mile hike that will incorporate learning an outdoor skill that you can incorporate into your next adventure.  The entire program will be spent outside; please dress appropriately for the weather. Reference the 3Ws of layering for more information about how to dress. Classes will begin promptly, so plan to arrive early

      Cleveland Metroparks staff can adapt many programs to be accessible to anyone who would like to participate assuming they meet the essential eligibility criteria.
