      Burning River Requiem Presentation

Fire on the Water: June 22, 1969, a relatively small fire on the Cuyahoga River helped fan the flames of the environmental movement. Historical Interpreter Doug Kusak ignites discussions and illuminates' reasons why all eyes were on Cleveland, casting a sideways glance at other rivers that burned with envy. We’ll also cover how enough flammable material gets in a river to have a fire on it, reasons why our fire became so famous, and the science behind why liquids don’t burn.
