      Enjoy a night out at Huntington beach with refreshments (for purchase) from the Noshery, exhibits, demonstrations, night hikes and so much more! This adult-focused event will explore the wonders of the nocturnal world along the shores of Lake Erie.

      Drop-by: Flashy Fireflies 

      Learn the signals of our local fireflies, then head out on your own to see which species you can find.
      7:30 – 11 p.m.
      Age: adults

      Noc Walk 
      Take a stroll to search for critters who are out exploring the evening. Learn all about what helps them to survive their unique nighttime lifestyle. 
      8 – 9 p.m.
      Age: adults
      Terrain: natural surface, dark, 0.75 mile 
      Meet by the Noshery 
       
      Owls and Katydids Hike

      Join Naturalist Jen Brumfield on a short night hike in search of the sounds of nightfall. We’ll listen for katydids and owls in the fields and forest.
      8 – 9 p.m.
      Age: adults
      Terrain: mostly flat, paved and natural surface 0.5 mile

      Constellation Hike

      Join a naturalist for this hike in the dark. We will check out the night sky and see which constellations are visible. 
      9 – 9:45 or 10 – 10:45 p.m.
      Age: adults
      Terrain: stairs, sand, 0.5 mile 

      NIGHT CREATURES – PAINT A PINT
      Create a beautiful painted pint glass with an artist’s original drawing of one of northeast Ohio’s nocturnal creatures. No artistic talent required. All supplies provided. 
      8 – 8:30 p.m., 8:30 – 9 p.m., 9 – 9:30 p.m., 9:30 – 10 p.m. 
      Fee: $10 
      Age: adults
      Register online July 15 – August 1 
       

      Cleveland Metroparks staff can adapt many programs to be accessible to anyone who would like to participate assuming they meet the essential eligibility criteria.
