Cleveland Metroparks Safety Tips for the Fourth of July As families and friends make plans to spend the Fourth of July together, Cleveland Metroparks invites guests to enjoy their Independence Day while exploring the Park District. This holiday weekend enjoy Cleveland’s lakefront at Cleveland Metroparks inaugural Taste on the Lake presented by Sprint Saturday and Sunday, July 7th and 8th, featuring a creative showcase of local food, beverages, arts and music at Edgewater Park. For more information visit clevelandmetroparks.com/taste. As a reminder, there will be no Edgewater LIVE Thursday, July 5th due to the holiday.

On the Fourth of July, Edgewater Park is one of many great locations to view the City of Cleveland's fireworks. Due to the expected high volume of attendance Wednesday, all guests are encouraged to arrive at Edgewater Park, Whiskey Island, Wendy Park and all other marinas and yacht clubs by early afternoon. Vehicular access to park entrances will close as the parking lots reach capacity.

For boaters, please be aware of additional alternative locations with public boat launch access. Cleveland Metroparks offers free public boat launch access at the Emerald Necklace Marina in Rocky River Reservation, Gordon Park Boat Launch in Lakefront Reservation and Wildwood Park in Euclid Creek Reservation.

Cleveland Metroparks Rangers will be present on foot, bikes, in patrol cruisers and on horseback to assist in parking and safety.

Park guests are encouraged to participate in the “If you see something, say something” national campaign.
For injuries or medical response call: 9-11
For emergencies within the Park District call: 440-333-4911
For information or non-emergencies contact: 440-331-5530
To further ensure everyone's safety this holiday weekend, Cleveland Metroparks Rangers ask that you do not park in undesignated areas, in picnic areas or in grassy areas/on medians.
