    Safe Boating Season the Focus this Friday, May 27 on the Flats East Bank

    National Safe Boating Week takes place May 21 - 27.



    Cleveland Metroparks, Flats East Bank and the United States Coast Guard will recognize safe boating season with an event at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27 at the Water Taxi Station on the East Bank of the Flats, located at 1170 Old River Road.



    A brief program highlighting safe boating season will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will include a lineup of the following speakers:



    Cleveland Metroparks Chief Executive Officer Brian Zimmerman

    Developer and partner of The Wolstein Group, Scott Wolstein, representing Flats East Bank

    United States Coast Guard Cleveland Marine Safety Unit Commander Mickey Dougherty



    Immediately following, there will be a ribbon-cutting, followed by a cruise on-board the eLCee2 Water Taxi across the Cuyahoga River to the West Bank of the Flats and back.


    ?Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the event on the Water Taxi Dock.

     

    Parking will be available at no cost in the lot directly across the street from the Water Taxi Dock.
