Cleveland Metroparks is excited to launch an all-new community "Learn-to-Sail" program! In celebration of the kick-off of this new program, Cleveland Metroparks will present America's oldest sailing trophy, The America's Cup Trophy, on Wednesday, August 31 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's Stillwater Place.

Throughout the evening, guests will celebrate the launch of this new program and hear from the official host of the America's Cup, Tucker Thompson. As the TV and Public Host of the 35th America's Cup, Thompson is currently on tour engaging the next generation of America's Cup fans and sparking new excitement about yachting. The event will include a video and narrative presentation of America's Cup, the oldest trophy in international sport. Guests will also have the opportunity to take their photo with the prestigious and esteemed trophy.

"We are thrilled to expand Cleveland Metroparks recreational and educational programs by including sailing. This new program offers yet another opportunity for the community to access Lake Erie, our region's greatest natural asset," said Cleveland Metroparks CEO Brian Zimmerman.

All proceeds from the evening go to the launch of Cleveland Metroparks "Learn-to-Sail" program, which includes the need for sailing equipment. Registration is still available for this special event! Learn more and register at clevelandmetroparks.com.
