Getting out and being active is the key to staying fit later in life, so come out for a walk on the wild side with a day of activities, entertainment, exhibitors and FREE admission to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo during Senior Safari.

The Zoo's biannual Senior Safari offers all guests age 55 or better FREE admission to the Zoo and The RainForest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25.

Guests of all ages can visit the exhibitor pavilion featuring free health screenings and senior health, wellness and lifestyle information from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Zoo is a great place to make family memories and Senior Safari gives a little extra incentive for the whole family to come out and play, said Executive Zoo Director Dr. Chris Kuhar.

The Zoo has a complimentary tram that transports guests to the Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building to visit the gorillas, cheetahs and sharks. Get close to the action with a giraffe or lorikeet feeding and exciting live animal shows.

And no trip to the Zoo this summer would be complete without a stop at the Zoo's new Circle of Wildlife Carousel and Nature Discovery Ridge play zone, scheduled to open May 30! The 64 hand-carved animal figures will delight guests no matter what their age!

Northeast Ohio's most-visited year-round attraction, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with hours extended to 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Admission is $12.25 per person, $8.25 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children younger than 2 and Zoo members. Parking is free. Located at 3900 Wildlife Way, the Zoo is easily accessible from Interstates 71, 90 and 480.

Senior Safari is presented by Discount Drug Mart.
